2010 Pinot Noir “The Proposition” (Anderson Valley)

This Pinot Noir is more classical and elegant compared to our 2010 KW Ranch. A late heat spell pushed sugars along quickly providing a fresh round mouthfeel. We are very happy with the wine and are even impressed as it ages.

Nose: Dark cherry LudensTM
Palate: Round with freshness, smooth, elegance, with mouthfeel
Body: Medium to full body
Finish: Medium long; lingering;  pleasant acidity
Best: 59-62* F; decant for 1-2  hours

Details

First planted in 1969 by Balvern Vineyards as part of the much larger Rankin sheep ranch. Dr. Richard Ferrington bought the property in the 1980s and the Kurt Schoeneman acquired it in 1996. He realized immediately the vineyard needed help. With in years, Kurt has made this a world class Pinot Noir vineyard.
