The school is considered one of the very first buildings to have been constructed in the town of Rochelle. The complex was home to hundreds of scientists during the 1960s space race. Sadly, this place is closed now to the public but you can hike to the rocky dirt beds or ridges to witness this abandoned place. In the following years, the building remained practically untouched.
